🔋A Personal Letter to YOU

What a year it has been...

Welcome to ATP—All Things Psychology, a newsletter that brings bite-sized research pieces from Psychology and Neuroscience straight to your inbox, with one goal: To help you leverage science to improve your life.

Not a subscriber yet? Subscribe here so you don’t miss the next one!

I respect your time, so let me start this letter with the gist: The ATP Newsletter will take a break over the next few weeks and return in January.

That’s the main takeaway.

Now, if you have a few minutes and want to read my wrap-up of 2025, here comes the extended version!

2025 has been an intense year for me. After running in circles in 2024, first trying to establish myself as a Notion creator (with barely any sales, lol) and then as a ghostwriter (without paying clients, ouch!), in January everything started to happen.

Sometimes I look back and still can’t believe it!

I signed my first high-ticket ghostwriting client in January, followed by many more from many different niches. It has been so cool and rewarding to get an insight into their worlds and write for them!

In March, my X account exploded, and I literally added thousands of followers overnight, after struggling there for 11 months, posting and engaging daily, and reaching barely 400 followers. My Threads account had already been very successful since I started there in August 2024, but this year I hit 12,000 followers.

I would probably have many more followers already on both platforms, but I was too burnt out to keep posting and engaging daily. Over the last months, I took a break from social media and just sent a few occasional posts every week to keep the accounts active (sorry if anyone felt ghosted. It had nothing to do with you!)

I prioritized long-form content, as in this newsletter, and started being active on Medium again after taking a break there.

And actually, my most recent breakthrough this year was on Medium, where one story from October blew up. It has earned me over $1,500 already and keeps earning daily. I went from roughly 500 followers to 2k within a few weeks!

Well, and I almost forgot that I quit my University job in the middle of September. It wasn’t easy, and it was an emotional rollercoaster, but I’m glad I did it. It feels right.

However, it all takes its toll. For most of the year, I worked a full-time job, ran my biz on the side, and parented two school-aged kids. That’s like three full-time jobs in one person.

Long story short, this has been one of the most stressful but also one of the most amazing years of my life. After all these breakthrough moments and quitting my job, everything is finally falling into place. But I’m also not gonna lie: I’m exhausted.

What a year it has been!

With 2025 coming to an end and December being full of activities (probably the same on your side, especially if you have school-aged kids), I’ve decided to put my ATP newsletter on hold until January.

I’ll use this time to reflect on where I’m heading next year, keep working on a few things, such as the Neuroscience-Optimized Morning Routine, and enjoy time with my family.

I wish you all the best for the remaining days of this year, and remember that in the context of all the holiday stress, you have tools (like this and this) to reset your nervous system within minutes.

Before I log off, I wanted to THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. Everything I wrote about in this newsletter would have been impossible without your support. To me, you’re more than just a number in my follower or subscriber count.

So again: THANK YOU for being here and caring about what I have to say!

With love and gratitude,

Patricia

What else I’ve been up to:

I published two new articles on Medium (both contain a friend link at the top, so you can still read them even if you’re not a Medium member):

That’s it for today!
